GLP-1 S 5mg

60.00

GLP-1 S is a synthetic analogue of the naturally occurring glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) hormone, supplied as a high-purity lyophilized powder. In in vitro studies, it’s widely used to investigate the biological basis of weight-loss mechanisms and to probe insulin-secretion and broader metabolic pathways.

          Mechanism of action

GLP-1 Receptor Agonism & Insulinotropic Effect

GLP-1 S binds the GLP-1 receptor on pancreatic β-cells, activating the Gαs–adenylate cyclase–cAMP–PKA cascade to enhance glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppress glucagon release only when blood glucose is elevated.

Delayed Gastric Emptying & Reduced Gastrointestinal Motility

Activation of GLP-1 receptors in the gut and on vagal afferents slows gastric emptying and intestinal transit, reducing postprandial glucose excursions and contributing to satiety.

          Central & Peripheral Appetite Suppression

GLP-1 S crosses the blood–brain barrier to engage GLP-1 receptors in hypothalamic nuclei and vagal pathways, enhancing satiety signals and dampening reward-driven feeding behaviors.

          Storage & handling

          Storage

Store the lyophilized vial in a cool, dry area protected from direct sunlight. After reconstitution, refrigerate

          Reconstitution

Reconstitute with sterile, bacteriostatic water. Inject water down the vial wall; gently swirl until fully dissolved. Our standard vials can hold up to 3ml of BAC water
